祇園祭の重要な神事である「還幸祭」に参拝いたしました。
還幸祭は、四条御旅所へお遷りになっていた八坂神社の御祭神が、三基の神輿とともに本殿へお還りになる神聖な神事です。
神様がお還りになられた後の舞殿と神輿を前に、祭礼を支えてこられた多くの方々へ心から感謝を。⁡
⁡長い歴史の中で受け継がれてきた伝統の尊さに改めて感銘を受けました。⁡

京都には、華やかな祭りの姿だけではなく、その根底にある信仰と祈りが御座います。

⁡⁡I had the honor of visiting Yasaka Shrine for Kankosai (the Return Procession), one of the most important sacred ceremonies of the Gion Festival.
During Kankosai, the deities enshrined at Shijo Otabisho return to the main sanctuary of Yasaka Shrine in three portable shrines (mikoshi).
These photographs were taken after the deities had returned to the shrine. Standing before the mikoshi and the maidono (the ceremonial stage), I was reminded of the devotion of everyone who has preserved this tradition through generations.
Beyond the festive atmosphere, Kyoto's traditions are deeply rooted in faith, gratitude, and reverence.
I hope to continue learning about and sharing the beauty of Japanese culture with respect.⁡
